- Esterification: Terminal hydroxyl reacts with organic acids to generate phenoxyethanol ester derivatives
- Ether stability: Ether bond stable under neutral/weak acid/weak alkali; high temperature concentrated strong acid can break ether bond
- Antibacterial activity: Inhibit gram-positive/gram-negative bacteria, yeast and mold, broad-spectrum preservative effect
- Thermal stability: Stable below 200 ℃; above 260 ℃ thermal cracking occurs
