Application

DM30X (CAS 54112-23-1) is a high-performance urea-based latent curing agent for epoxy resins, widely used in one-component epoxy systems. Its structure contains two hexahydro-2-oxo-1H-azepine groups linked by a methylenediphenylene bridge, offering excellent latency at room temperature and rapid curing at elevated temperatures (120–160 °C). It is ideal for one-component adhesives, electronic potting compounds, powder coatings, and structural composites. In electronics, it provides long pot life at ambient conditions and high bonding strength after curing, suitable for chip encapsulation and underfill. In coatings, it enhances storage stability and corrosion resistance. It also serves as a key intermediate in synthesizing high-temperature-resistant polymers and pharmaceutical derivatives.

Safety Information

GHS Classification: Skin Irritation (Category 2), Eye Irritation (Category 2A), Respiratory Irritation (Category 3)
This compound may cause mild skin redness and itching upon contact. Eye exposure can lead to irritation, tearing, and conjunctival inflammation. Inhalation of dust may irritate the respiratory tract, causing cough or discomfort. No significant acute toxicity is reported. Operators must wear chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles, and dust masks in well-ventilated areas or fume hoods. Avoid skin contact, inhalation, and ingestion. In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water for 15 minutes. If eyes are affected, flush with clean water for 15 minutes and seek medical advice. Store separately from oxidants and acids. Dispose of waste as hazardous waste per local regulations.
