2-Ethylhexyl methacrylate is an important acrylic monomer with low viscosity and good flexibility. It is mainly used for synthesizing acrylic resins, adhesives, coatings and polymer emulsion. It can improve the flexibility, low temperature resistance and water resistance of polymer materials, widely applied in industrial paint, plastic modifier, leather finishing agent and printing ink industry. It is also used to prepare pressure-sensitive adhesives, waterproof coatings and textile finishing agents. In addition, it serves as raw material for oil field chemical additives and organic synthesis intermediates. Its excellent copolymerization performance makes it widely used in polymer material modification and fine chemical production.

This product is flammable liquid with irritation. Inhalation of vapor will cause dizziness, headache and respiratory discomfort, keep ventilation and wear gas-proof mask during operation. Skin contact may cause degreasing, dryness and mild allergic irritation, wear chemical resistant gloves and wash skin with soap water in time. Eye contact will lead to severe redness and stinging pain, rinse eyes with plenty of clean water for more than fifteen minutes immediately. Accidental ingestion will cause nausea and gastrointestinal discomfort. Vapor can form explosive mixture with air, keep far away from open fire, static electricity and high temperature heat source. Store separately from strong oxidants and strong acids. Waste liquid shall be treated as flammable hazardous waste to prevent fire risk and environmental pollution.
