- Appearance: White crystalline solid powder
- Odor: Odorless
- Solubility: Slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in hot water; insoluble in ethanol, acetone, benzene and other organic solvents
- Melting Point: Decomposes at around 230 °C without melting
- Hygroscopicity: Non-hygroscopic under normal ambient humidity

Chemical Properties
- Molecular Structure: Contains amino group, carboxylic acid group and phosphonic acid group, an amphoteric organophosphorus compound
- Acid-base characteristic: Multi-acidic functional groups, can react with alkali metals to form soluble glyphosate salts (isopropylamine salt, ammonium salt, sodium salt, the main formulation forms for pesticides)
- Metal chelation: Phosphonic acid and carboxyl groups readily chelate metal ions such as calcium, magnesium, iron
- Thermal stability: Stable at room temperature; high temperature above 200 °C decomposes to release phosphorus-containing irritant gas
- Photostability: Good light stability in solid state; slow photodegradation in aqueous solution under long-term strong sunlight
- Compatibility: Compatible with most neutral pesticide auxiliary agents; incompatible with strong oxidants, concentrated strong bases and heavy metal salts

1. Broad-Spectrum Herbicide (Core Application)
- Non-selective systemic post-emergence herbicide for farmland, orchard, wasteland, roadside weeding; inhibits plant aromatic amino acid synthesis and causes whole plant withering
- Raw material for glyphosate ammonium salt, isopropylamine salt liquid formulations and water-soluble granules
2. Plant Growth Regulator Auxiliary
Trace addition to regulate crop growth and improve nutrient absorption in special agricultural formulas
3. Industrial Chelating Intermediate
Organophosphorus chelating raw material for water treatment and metal surface cleaning additives
