- Alcohol characteristic: Undergoes esterification with carboxylic acids; dehydration to cyclohexene under acid catalysis; oxidation generates cyclohexanone / adipic acid
- Weak acidity: Hydroxyl group weakly acidic, reacts with strong alkali metal to form cyclohexanolate
- Thermal stability: Stable under normal temperature; high-temperature oxidation produces ketone and carboxylic acid impurities
