Product Overview
Isothiazolinones (CMIT/MIT) is a broad-spectrum, high-efficiency biocide and preservative, mainly composed of 5-Chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (CMIT, CAS 26172-55-4) and 2-Methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT, CAS 2682-20-4). It is an amber transparent liquid with a pungent odor, widely used for sterilization, algae killing and mildew prevention in industrial and consumer products. For industrial sterilization, preservation and research use only.

Storage & Handling
Storage Conditions
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Keep containers tightly sealed. Protect from sunlight, heat and moisture. Recommended storage temperature: 10–25°C. Separate from oxidants, acids and food.
Handling Precautions
- Wear chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles, dust mask.
- Avoid inhalation, skin/eye contact.
- In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes.
- No eating, drinking or smoking in work area.
- Use in well-ventilated place; avoid prolonged exposure.
