- Stability: Stable in air, slightly hygroscopic. Dehydrates when heated. Reacts with sulfate to form insoluble barium sulfate precipitate.
Application
- Chemical raw material: Used for manufacturing barium salt products, pigment and chemical reagents.
- Water treatment: Applied for removing sulfate ions in industrial wastewater.
- Metallurgy industry: Used as heat treatment agent and metal surface treatment additive.
- Electroplating: Additive for electroplating solution.
