Main Uses

  • UV Curing Field: As a highly efficient Type I photoinitiator, it absorbs UV and near-visible light to generate free radicals that initiate polymerization, with excellent through-cure ability and low yellowing property. It is widely used in UV-curable coatings (wood coatings, furniture coatings, electronic component protective coatings), printing inks, and adhesives, especially suitable for white pigmented systems and thicker clear coatings.
  • 3D Printing & Biomedical Fields: Used in resin-based 3D printing processes to produce detailed and durable objects, and in the photo-crosslinking of PMMA composites for organic thin film transistor (OTFT) gate insulators. It is also applied in dental composites and adhesives that require quick setting times and strong adhesion.
  • Other Fields: As an organic intermediate, it is used in the photoinduced synthesis of organophosphine compounds, which can serve as ligands for metal catalysts and reagents. It is also used as a processing aid, light-transmissive fiber coating additive, and in the research and development of new photoinitiator formulations and material modification technologies.
