Headquartered in Jinan, Shandong, China, we are committed to delivering high-quality products to our global partners. Currently, over 90% of our products are exported to developed markets, including North America, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and the Middle East.
Basic Properties
Pale blue-green monoclinic crystals or granules, odorless, uniform texture without visible impurities. It is easy to weather in dry air and oxidize to yellowish-brown basic iron salt in humid air. Soluble in water, the aqueous solution is acidic, and the oxidation rate accelerates in hot solution; slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in organic solvents.
Chemical Properties
Stable under normal temperature and pressure, with reducibility. It loses 3 crystal water at 56.6°C, turns into monohydrate at 65-90°C, loses all crystal water at 300°C to form white anhydrous substance, and starts to decompose at 480°C. It is incompatible with strong oxidants and alkalis, and contact may cause decomposition or reaction.
Main Applications
1. Agriculture: Used as trace element fertilizer to supplement iron for crops and improve alkaline soil. 2. Water Treatment: Used as water purifier and bactericidal deodorant for wastewater treatment. 3. Industry: Used in manufacturing iron oxide pigments, ferrites, as polymerization catalyst and wood preservative. 4. Pharmaceutical/Analysis: Raw material of iron supplement, analytical reagent for determining platinum, selenium, etc.
Storage
Store in sealed containers in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse, with a temperature of 15-25°C. Keep away from fire and heat sources, avoid direct sunlight and moisture, and store separately from oxidants and alkalis to prevent oxidation and deterioration.
Safety Overview
Hazard Category: Low toxicity, Irritant (Xi). Hazard Statements: H302 (Harmful if swallowed), H315 (Causes skin irritation), H319 (Causes serious eye irritation). Low acute toxicity, but irritating to skin and eyes.
Safety Precautions
1. Personal Protection: Wear dust mask, safety goggles, acid and alkali resistant gloves and protective clothing during operation; avoid eating, drinking and smoking. 2. Emergency Handling: Rinse skin and eyes with plenty of water immediately after contact; rinse mouth if swallowed, drink milk or egg white, and seek medical advice promptly. 3. Special Notes: Avoid contact with strong oxidants and alkalis; avoid leakage into water sources. 4. Fire & Spill: Non-flammable; collect spilled solids and dispose of properly. 5. Disposal & Transportation: Dispose in accordance with regulations; transport as hazardous goods (UN 3077 9/PG 3), sealed and moisture-proof.
