Product Description

Introduction

Trimethylgallium (TMG) is a colorless, transparent, and toxic liquid at room temperature and pressure. It readily oxidizes in air and spontaneously combusts at room temperature, emitting white fumes of metallic oxides during combustion. It decomposes at high temperatures. It is miscible in any proportion with aliphatic saturated hydrocarbons such as hexane and heptane, and aromatic hydrocarbons such as toluene and xylene. It reacts violently with water to produce Me?GaOH and [(Me?Ga)?O]X, releasing methane gas.

Applications

TMG can be used in metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) to prepare semiconductor compounds such as GaAs and AsGaAl. It is a gallium source for manufacturing electronic components such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and is also used in the manufacture of solar cells.

Applications

TMG is a key MO source material for the production of optoelectronic materials such as gallium nitride using MOCVD technology, and is the most widely used metal-organic compound among MO source compounds. MO sources, or organometallic compounds, are important metal sources in the optoelectronic semiconductor materials industry and other fields. They are the basic source materials for the production and synthesis of novel semiconductor optoelectronic compound materials by processes such as MOCVD (organic metal-organic chemical vapor deposition).
