Its multiple hydroxyl and tertiary amine structures enable stable chelation with transition metal ions including copper, zinc, nickel and iron, which supports core chelation-related experimental work. In analytical chemistry tests, it works as auxiliary masking reagent for metal interference elimination during titration and spectrophotometric detection of target substances in industrial plating liquor and environmental wastewater samples. In fine organic synthesis, it acts as catalyst intermediate and raw material for preparing modified chelate resins used in metal ion adsorption experiments. It also serves as neutralizing auxiliary and stabilizer in cosmetic raw material formulation research and water-based detergent additive screening to restrain metal ion-triggered product deterioration.
