Applications

This dioxolone derivative is core pharmaceutical intermediate mainly applied for Olmesartan Medoxomil and Azilsartan API production, used to synthesize medoxomil ester side chain of sartan antihypertensive drugs. Its reactive hydroxyl and cyclic carbonate group enable esterification coupling with parent drug molecule to form prodrug medoxomil moiety for improving oral bioavailability.
