4-Phenylbenzoic acid is an important biphenyl carboxylic acid fine chemical intermediate extensively used in liquid crystal material, pharmaceutical and dye synthesis fields. The biphenyl rigid skeleton with terminal carboxyl group is core building unit for esterification and amidation reactions. In liquid crystal industry, it is key raw material for synthesizing aromatic ester liquid crystal monomers, improving liquid crystal phase transition temperature and dielectric properties of finished liquid crystal products for display screen manufacturing.
