Applications
2-Hydroxydiphenylamine is an important aromatic amine fine chemical intermediate. It is mainly used for manufacturing rubber anti-aging agents, effectively resisting thermal oxidation and fatigue aging of rubber products, extending service life of tires, hoses and rubber accessories. It serves as key raw material for synthesizing dyes and pigments, applied in dyeing of textiles and leather. Also used as antioxidant stabilizer for plastics and lubricants to slow down material degradation. Besides, it acts as organic synthesis building block for pharmaceutical and pesticide intermediate preparation. With stable chemical property and good anti-oxidation activity, it is widely applied in rubber industry, dyestuff processing and polymer material modification.
Safety Information
This substance has mild toxicity and irritation. Inhalation of dust will irritate respiratory tract and cause throat discomfort and cough, keep ventilation and wear dust-proof mask during operation. Skin contact may trigger redness, itching and allergic reaction, wear protective gloves and clean skin after exposure. Eye contact leads to stinging and conjunctival irritation, flush eyes with plenty of running water for more than fifteen minutes. Accidental ingestion causes nausea and abdominal discomfort. Light exposure easily causes discoloration and deterioration. Store separately from oxidants and food. Waste materials shall be treated as hazardous organic waste to avoid body injury and environmental pollution.
