Zinc bromide is a high-density inorganic salt with strong water solubility and excellent chemical stability. It is widely used in petroleum exploitation as main raw material for high-density clear completion fluid and workover fluid, which can effectively stabilize wellbore wall, control formation pressure and reduce mining risks in deep well and ultra-deep well operation. In chemical industry, it acts as efficient catalyst and dehydrating agent for organic synthesis reactions, promoting condensation and substitution reactions smoothly. It is also applied in electroplating industry as additive for galvanizing solution to improve coating uniformity and adhesion. In medical field, it can be used to prepare sedative preparations and pharmaceutical intermediates.
