Applications
Sodium 3-nitrobenzenesulfonate is an important aromatic nitro sulfonate fine chemical intermediate. It is widely used in dye industry as core raw material for synthesizing acid dyes, reactive dyes and disperse dyes, playing a key role in textile printing and dyeing color matching. It can be reduced to produce m-aminobenzenesulfonic acid, which is further used to prepare various dye intermediates and color fixing agents. In electroplating industry, it serves as brightening agent and auxiliary additive for electroplating solution, effectively improving coating smoothness and surface gloss. It is also applied in organic synthesis for preparing pharmaceutical intermediates, daily chemical additives and chemical reagents. Besides, it can be used as biochemical analytical reagent and industrial catalyst auxiliary. Its good water solubility and stable chemical property make it suitable for various water-phase industrial production processes, simplify post-treatment steps and improve production efficiency. With mature production technology and wide downstream application channels, this product holds stable market demand and is widely used in printing and dyeing, electroplating, organic synthesis and chemical auxiliary fields.
Safety Information
This product is low toxic with slight irritant property. Inhalation of fine dust may cause mild discomfort to respiratory tract and nasal mucosa, lead to dry throat and slight cough, so wear dust-proof mask and keep working place well ventilated. Long-term direct skin contact may cause local skin itching and mild redness, operators shall wear protective gloves and wash exposed skin with clean water after operation. Once splashed into eyes, it will cause obvious stinging and foreign body sensation, flush eyes continuously with plenty of running clean water for more than fifteen minutes and seek medical care if symptoms persist. Accidental ingestion will stimulate digestive tract and cause mild nausea and stomach discomfort. It is non-flammable, but high temperature combustion will decompose and release toxic nitrogen oxide and sulfur oxide harmful gas. It is forbidden to contact and mix with strong reducing agents, strong acids and oxidants. Keep away from food, feed and daily necessities during storage and transportation. All waste residues and waste liquid shall be disposed in accordance with industrial chemical waste treatment norms to avoid environmental pollution and potential health hazards.
