Polyoxyethylene sorbitan trioleate, also known as Tween 85, is a non-ionic surfactant with excellent emulsifying, dispersing, solubilizing and wetting properties. It is widely used in food industry as food-grade emulsifier and stabilizer, applied in beverage, baked food, ice cream and candy to improve product texture and prevent layering. In cosmetic and daily chemical industry, it is used in cream, lotion, essential oil product and hair care formula, helping dissolve oil-based ingredients and enhance system stability. It is commonly used as emulsifier and solubilizer in pharmaceutical field for oral liquid, external ointment and vitamin preparations. In agricultural chemicals, it acts as pesticide emulsifier and spreader to improve drug adhesion and absorption efficiency on crop surface. Besides, it can be used in textile, coating and industrial lubricant fields, playing roles in leveling, antistatic and auxiliary dispersion. With mild property and good compatibility, it can be mixed with most ionic and non-ionic surfactants to meet diversified formulation demands.

This product belongs to low-toxicity mild surfactant with good safety performance. Inhalation of its mist may cause slight irritation to respiratory tract, so keep ventilation during operation. Direct long-time skin contact may lead to mild dryness and skin irritation, operators shall wear protective gloves and clean skin with running water after contact. Eye contact will cause stinging and discomfort, immediately flush eyes with plenty of clean water for more than 15 minutes and seek medical care if discomfort persists. Accidental ingestion in small dose will not cause severe poisoning, but may induce slight gastrointestinal upset, do not induce vomiting and take proper symptomatic treatment. It is chemically stable at normal temperature, incompatible with strong oxidants and strong alkaline substances, and easy to go bad and produce peculiar smell under long-term high temperature condition. Keep it tightly sealed and stored in cool dry environment, away from heat source and fire source. Waste liquid and leftover materials shall be treated in accordance with local environmental protection waste disposal standards, and random dumping is forbidden to avoid affecting water body and soil environment.
