Applications
Erucic acid is a long-chain unsaturated fatty acid with stable chemical property. It is mainly used to synthesize erucamide, which is widely used as slip agent and anti-blocking agent in plastic film industry. It can be processed into high-grade lubricants, metal cutting fluids and rubber softeners with excellent low temperature resistance. In daily chemical field, it is used to prepare cosmetics emulsifiers and high-efficiency surface active agents. It also serves as raw material for pharmaceutical intermediates, textile finishing agents and printing ink additives. It is an important basic raw material in fine chemical, new material and petrochemical industries.
