  • Applications

Nickel chloride hexahydrate is an important inorganic nickel salt with wide industrial and laboratory applications. It is mainly used in electroplating industry as the main raw material for nickel plating solutions, providing stable nickel ion concentration for metal surface coating, improving corrosion resistance, hardness and surface brightness of workpieces. In chemical synthesis, it acts as catalyst and raw material for preparing nickel-based catalysts, nickel complexes and other nickel compound derivatives.
It is also widely used in battery industry for nickel raw material preparation, in printing and dyeing as mordant, and in pharmaceutical, ceramic and electronic material manufacturing fields. In laboratory research, it serves as a common nickel ion reagent for chemical analysis, precipitation reaction and coordination chemistry study.

    Safety Information

This product is harmful if swallowed, may cause allergic skin reaction and serious eye irritation. Long-term skin contact easily induces nickel allergy, dermatitis and red swelling itching. Inhalation of dust may irritate respiratory tract, cause cough, throat discomfort and bronchial stimulation. It is harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects and must not be discharged into water bodies or soil.
During operation, work in well-ventilated place, wear protective gloves, chemical goggles and dust mask. Avoid skin contact, eye exposure and dust inhalation. Keep sealed storage, separate from oxidants and alkaline substances. Waste residues and packaging should be treated according to hazardous waste regulations to prevent environmental pollution and human health hazards.
