Applications
This human beta-amyloid peptide 1-42 is a key pathological biomarker of Alzheimer’s disease. It tends to self-assemble into oligomers and fibrils, inducing neuronal damage, synaptic dysfunction and neuroinflammation. Widely used to establish in vitro cell models and in vivo animal models for Alzheimer research. Applied in screening anti-aggregation, neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory candidate drugs. Also used as standard substance for cerebrospinal fluid and blood biomarker detection, and for studying protein misfolding, aggregation mechanism and neuroscience basic research.
